The French and Indian war was between Britain and France . The Britain wanted control over the Ohio Vally region and so did the French . The war lasted for almost ten years ! As you know the British wore red uniforms which made them easy targets . The French wore blue uniforms . Lake Champlain became a main battle ground . Fighting continued for the next few years even though it was basically over soon the Treaty of pairs was signed which means the Britain had won and they had gotten the Ohio Vally region .
